Four Sisters Farm Resort?

Remember that cruise EJ and I missed?  When we arrived home from the airport, we found a party waiting for us.  Pop and Grammy set up a pool and a slip n slide.  It was a hot day and we all had a blast!  Even with the disappointment of that day, we laughed and played together.

I love this picture of Pop and Grammy...Don't you just want to yell "SAFE!"  When you see it!

Don't feel too sorry for EJ and I.  We did go on a cruise this summer.  We were able to do the same cruise just two weeks later.  It was a great time, we appreciated it even more after missing the first one.  I will have to tell you more about the ship very soon.  It is crazy what they put on cruise ships these days!

Our clothes made it to our cruise...we did not.

EJ and I have been anticipating a week long vacation.  Just us.  A chance to reconnect and relax.  We were going on a cruise for 7 days.  A fun filled, rest filled cruise.  Pop and Grammy were ready to keep the cowboys and we were ready to roll!

We got up at 3:45am this morning to head to the airport.  Our flight was to leave at 6:20am and we were certainly not going to miss it.

That's where it all went very wrong...

To make a very long story short.  The airline cancelled the flight.  They could not find a way to get us to Ft. Lauderdale in time to make the cruise.  However, they happily sent our bags to Ft. Lauderdale.  So we hope our clothes enjoy the cruise.  We, however, went to Dennys.

My toes look way too "vacation ready" to be driving back home.  It's a tragedy really.

Now we wait until Monday to find out how this situation can be rectified.  In the meantime, take our advice...do not fly Delta.

Chuga Chuga Chuga Chuga Choo Choo!

In early July, we went on a vacation with EJ's folks (Papa & Grandma). We went to Colorado for a family reunion and found plenty of fun on the way there and back. The boys were beyond excited about riding a train. Their Grandma bought them these little conductor hats in anticipation of our vacation. Don't they look stinkin' adorable.

We rode this train from Durango to Silverton. Papa drove the car to Silverton so we wouldn't have to ride the train back. We figured that much train riding would get old for the boys. The cowboys waved and hollered, "Bye, Papa!" as the train pulled from the station.

It was a beautiful ride but the sway of the train car was too much for even the most excited of cowboys...
