Pop and I recently took a trip to Gettysburg, PA which I'll blog on later; but for now I wanted to share a sign with you that was in the elevator of one of the hotels where we stayed. The sign from the General Manager warned people not to kill (smash) stink bugs because that is when a terrible odor is released. Thankfully we didn't see any but we got tickled about it....here's what the sign says..."The Stink Bug is a common problem in this area (and many others).
THEY ARE HARMLESS, THEY DO NOT BITE OR STING. They are just UGLY!
Although we do our very best to keep these bugs out of the hotel, some do get inside. They come in when doors are opened, on luggage, and on people. They like WARM AREAS (windows) & will come inside if they can.
If you encounter a Stink Bug, either pick it up with a tissue & flush it or call the Front Desk & someone will get it for you.
DO NOT KILL IT! IT WILL STINK (I.E. STINK BUG).
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause now or in the future."
Eeeewwww!!! If you have to post a sign about your stink bugs then you have issues! :) I'm glad you didn't step on any while you were there!
